A LIFETIME OF DEDICATION TO THE PEREGRINE FUND
When Dr. Munir Virani was the Director of The Peregrine Fund’s Africa Programs, he was honored by winning a Whitley Award for his work with African Vultures. The Whitley Award is often referred to as the “Green Oscars” and is one of the highest awards available in the conservation world. Its purpose is to conserve some of the planet’s most endangered species and spectacular places. Munir’s award was presented to him by the charity’s patron HRH The Princess Royal in London and he was interviewed by Sir David Attenborough during the event. This award has helped to fund more work to prevent poisoning of vultures in Kenya’s Southern Rift Valley. Your purchase will also ensure that these valuable birds will continue to soar.
