This extremely lightweight, five-button cardigan is probably most notable for its melton-like yarn, constructed in a vertical slalom pattern that curves down the front and back of the sweater in tight turns like the curving line that follows a competent skier down a steep, untracked slope of fresh powder snow. The underside of the front button hem or closure is a hand-knit ribbed pattern in black that complements the black ostrich feathers secured along the bottom hem by welt-seaming. The unusual knit pattern and super-soft yearn make this hand-knit cardigan an eye-arresting sweater; and like all of his original designs, each Christoph is signed and numbered by Robert Comstock.

A LIFETIME OF DEDICATION TO THE PEREGRINE FUND

The Peregrine Fund has recently expanded our Wildlife Poisoning Intervention Workshop into Tanzania. Building on the success of the training program in Kenya, our biologist Eric Ole Reson and South African partner Andre Botha of the Endangered Wildlife Trust, conducted an intensive two-and-a-half day training course for 24 participants including project directors, managers, game officers, veterinarians, animal technicians, and ecologists. Given that nearly all of our satellite-tagged vultures from the Mara travel across the border into Tanzania, this Wildlife Poisoning Intervention Training was not only necessary but also very well received.
