A LIFETIME OF DEDICATION TO THE PEREGRINE FUND
The Peregrine Fund’s Coexistence Co-op Project is led by Martin Odino and includes Steve Ekwanga, Martin Kahindi and Alfred Koech who collectively have trained over 1200 people in Laikipia. Over 90% of trainees have comprised community leaders, women’s, and environmental groups. Our Coexistence Trainings consist of two separate one-day workshops focused on poisoning awareness and building improved bomas (livestock corrals). In one community, Lorien, whose members we have intensively trained, there have been reduced reports of predator conflict. They also observed that there has been an increase in new chain-link bomas constructed by community members that locals said they built because of our trainings. Your purchase will help to support trainings like the ones that happened in Lorien saving both predators and scavengers.
