With virgin baby lambs wool, a stand-up collar, and a silver quarter-zip, the Sahara features flattering form with easy, comfortable function. In its body and sleeves, the sweater combines two distinct knit patterns: a squared, seed-knit pattern from the chest and shoulders upwards (front and back) and a zigzag chevron-knit pattern from the chest and shoulders down (also front and back); and not to be outdone, the stand-up collar, waist bottom, and sleeve cuffs are rib-knit. Depending on its position, the quarter-zip enables the stand-up collar to hug the neck–worn inside a lightweight sport-jacket, say–or frame an unbuttoned shirt-collar: both nice fashion options. As he does with each piece in his signature collection, Robert Comstock hand-signs the Sahara.
