A LIFETIME OF DEDICATION TO THE PEREGRINE FUND

Eight years ago, The Peregrine Fund invested in Eric Ole Reson, a young Maasai graduate student. Today he is changing the future. After graduating in 2012 with a Master’s degree in Wildlife Management from Clemson University he secured his first job where he works for the Maasai Mara Wildlife Conservancies Association (MMWCA) as a regional coordinator. His main role is to help establish new and strengthen already established conservancy units. He also ensures connectivity of these units by securing critical wildlife corridors. He facilitates community education on Natural Resource Management, trains community scouts on data collection tools, and coordinates Mara managers meetings to establish a universal management model for the Mara conservancies. Today, Eric is continuing his work in the Mara while pursuing a PhD with the support of The Peregrine Fund. Your purchase helps to ensure that we can continue to train new biologists in saving Kenya’s wildlife.
