A LIFETIME OF DEDICATION TO THE PEREGRINE FUND
Since 2010 biologists from The Peregrine Fund have been collaborating with biologists from National Museums of Kenya and others, to conduct annual road surveys of Kenya's raptors. We conduct road surveys by driving slowly along a designated survey route and counting all raptors that we see. We are currently comparing our recent data with similar data collected prior to the 1980s. The resulting information helps us understand just how much poisonings, power pole electrocutions, habitat loss and other threats are affecting our vultures and other raptors.
