Baby alpaca yarn in three different knit patterns gives birth to this hooded classic. The cable, welt, and rib knits that combine to create the navy blue sweater run up the sleeves, body, and shoulders of the sweater into the hood itself, where the lines of the welt-knit pattern intersect the rib knitting encircling the edge. Jersey-knit lined placket-like side pockets adorn either side of the garment, and a full-length, two-way, silver zipper slides easily into position for warmth or venting, whichever may be more comfortably appropriate. The sleeve cuffs and waist bottom are rib knit; and Robert Comstock, the designer who created the sweater, hand-signs and numbers each one.
