A LIFETIME OF DEDICATION TO THE PEREGRINE FUND
When Peregrine Fund biologist and PhD student, Eric Ole Reson, was on patrol and noticed several vultures struggling to fly, he knew there was trouble. He discovered 20 dead and 5 critically ill vultures that had been poisoned in Kenya’s famous Masai Mara, and he went to work to save the vultures that were still alive. While still on the scene, he treated three of the birds with Atropine and was able to release them immediately. The other two vultures needed to be kept under observation to ensure they were healthy enough to release. Your purchase will help to ensure Peregrine Fund trainees can continue to respond quickly to poisoning scenes and save birds like these five vultures.
