Ultra-lightweight shirting goat suede Helmsman is lined with diamond-quilted, down-proof nylon and along with a curly lamb fleece collar, features beaucoup contrast colored stitching that defines the garments intriguing architecture. The front closure does double-duty, first, as a zip-front and second, as a series of burnished mahogany toggles that above and over the zipper slip into vegetable tanned lamb loops, themselves anchored in vegetable tanned lamb gussets. Similarly, the pouch pockets at the waist also serve two functions: for beneath the pouches, with their three-button, on-seam flaps and enough room for gloves and a scarf, are snug, warm side-entry hand pockets. Straps near the sleeve ends are fully functional, and vegetable tanned lamb trims the underside of the lapels.
