The snug, oatmeal colored Oti is pure, pearl stitched cashmere with rib-knit cuffs and waistband, a high rolled neck, and fell-seamed shoulders that intersect the hem encircling the neck. In point of fact, subtle and intricate as they are, seams provide much of the sweater’s design detail.
Dr. Darcy Ogada is the Assistant Director of Africa Programs for The Peregrine Fund and helped to found the Co-existence Co-op in northern Kenya. As a child, she scanned the pages of National Geographic, dreaming of the day when she would be out in the field, saving wildlife. In January 2016, her dream came full-circle when her work to save African Vultures was detailed in a full-length National Geographic Magazine article. Darcy had just published a ground-breaking paper exposing the population crash of vultures across the continent and National Geographic elevated that work to part of the global conversation about saving species. When you make a purchase, you are helping to support work that is at the leading edge of science and is having a significant impact for wildlife conservation.
