Martin Odino is a Peregrine Fund biologist and conservation hero who is training communities through his work with our Coexistence Co-op Team. The team led one workshop that involved in a 2-day training of 30 senior officers from Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) who protect Kenya’s wildlife parks all over the country. Part of the training involved Martin, alongside four KWS wildlife crime investigators, leading the group through a mock poisoning crime scene. Other topics covered included care of poisoned animals, chain-of-custody reporting, laboratory testing, and creating community awareness about wildlife poisoning. Your purchase will support continued engagement with KWS on many of the conservation threats affecting Kenya’s birds of prey.
